About 200,000 homes and businesses which were classed as "ready to connect" in November 2017 by the NBN Co, the company rolling out Australia's national broadband network, have gone missing from this category of dwellings according to the company's own figures.

Despite all the hiccups, both private and public, which it has had this year, NBN Co seems to have performed well when it comes to making rental properties NBN-ready, it is claimed.

Australian subsea cable network operator, Trident Subsea Cable, has appointed former iiNet chief executive officer David Buckingham and the telco’s former business business officer and chief technology officer Greg Bader, as non-executive directors.

iiNet has secured an ACT Government contract to build a free WiFi network in the next 12 months which will provide wireless coverage across 12 business districts in Canberra.
